I was really liking my speaker but after only a week it won’t charge anymore. I’ve only charged it 3 times! Ok so after opening it. It was literally just band came unplugged from the circuit board so I plugged it back in gorilla glued it and it’s been rock sold since. Plus I can charge while I listen soooooooo 😎

This is a great valued Bluetooth speaker for the shower. The sound is very good and the battery life has been great. Only a minor issue is it doesn’t have a hook to hook it on the shower rod; I made a T-stick/loop to hang the speaker.

    Very well made

I have made a great deal for this buy. The speaker is very nice and good sound. The bass is mid and the treble is very good. At this price how much you want more. You can buy expensive speaker with little difference at the same size. Remember expect what you will have at this price but this is more than I expected. Highly recommended!

The Bobtot Thunder Speaker is very portable and there’s a lot to like about it, if you can look beyond the lack of bass and punch.LIKES:Compact and lightweight makes it my new go-to speaker to take outdoors.Gives off JBL Go type vibes.Highs and mids are pretty clear.IPX7 waterproof.USB-C charging port.Built-in carrying loop. Easy to add your own carabiner.Battery life seems to be pretty good. I had this playing at about 30% volume for some six hours straight one time.ON THE FENCE:Big “Bobtot” logo on front, not my style.Exposed USB-C charging port.DISLIKES:No battery level indicator. Hard to know how much juice you still have before you go silent.Lack of punch, sounds like it was calibrated to -1 or -2 notches in volume/loudness. When it’s playing rock or hip hop and you hold the speaker in your hand, there is not thumping and you don’t “feel” the bass. However, this can still be adequate for a small room like a hotel room, dorm room, or bathroom. I wasn’t able to find a power (watt) rating but I would estimate the Bobtot Thunder to be close to 5W sound output. It’s just that I think most manufacturers tune their sound profiles to emphasize bass and lows, sometimes to a fault. If you press the buttons too quickly (like volume up/down), it sometimes won’t respond.Discrepancies in information between the product page, the manual, and the Bobtot website. For example: the product page “guarantees up tp 15 hours of playtime at 50% volume” while the manual says “up to 10 hours of playtime… with volume set at 50%”. That’s a significant different, so which is it? In like manner, Bobtot’s webpage warns that the charging port should be behind a silicone flap to avoid water damage, but there is no flap on this model. At least mine survived shower duty unscathed.VERDICT: My new go-to outdoor speaker, compact, light, worry-free and easy (can you hear The Commodores, now?). When I go out and take my little speaker, it’s not about loudness or bass, but just to have something nice in the background and within my own personal space, so this Bobtot meets my needs. (PSA: when in nature, make nature the main soundtrack, not the other way around, plus nobody wants to listen to someone else’s playlist.) Indoors, it sounds pretty good, if maybe a bit “thin”. It actually sounds pretty good for genres that don’t require thunderous or thumping bass and lows. For acoustic tracks like folk or indie, the strumming of guitars really shine.

I am just an average user and not a speaker maestro. For what I selected this product for, I am sufficiently pleased. I wanted a compact, portable, Bluetooth speaker that didn’t sound like a tin box. This hits the mark for convenient outdoor listening in the backyard or beach. The overall sound quality and output volume is substantial for my needs, especially for the price point. For reference, I am pleased with the sound quality (and price point) of an Echo and feel this is comparable. Battery life is great – it met a full day of intermittent listening that totaled at least 7 hours.Love that it functions as a “player” as well as a speaker, so I can skip or repeat tracks using the device controls. I don’t have to keep my phone out (or switch between apps if I’m using it) each time I want to change something up.There are small features missing that I would prefer, but not that I’d feel the need to spend more money to get. For example, it doesn’t have a battery level indicator and the charging port is not concealed. I know a lot of electronics have an exposed charging port but considering the type of use and placement while using this outdoors (beach/sand, yard/elements, etc.), I think it would be better if it came with a snap or plug to cover the charging port. But again, if those features are what keeps the price lower while being able to provide quality sound, I’m okay with it.
