Keep it in your bag! I like this speaker because I can just forget it’s in my bag, and when there’s a moment that I need it, it’s just right there, taking up no more space than a hacky sack.Maybe the phone speaker just isn’t cutting it for a video being shared, at the neighborhood pool so music doesn’t bother the other guests, maybe for those hybrid days in the office while working from a random cubicle on an empty floor. There’s moments where it shines, but then there’s the rest of the time where I’m likely reaching for one of my better performing speakers, or my set of cans. This speaker fills a need for a range of people, and so there’s certainly going to be sacrifices to reach the widest audience. While the price is great, $20 bucks can get you a speaker that will play audio loud enough to be heard, and enjoyed but not loud enough to shock you when you hear it. It’s a bit surprising, but then you start listening for the tell-tale signs of imperfection. It’s a shallow base as is to be expected, which washes out the mids, highs are sharp and empty in my amateur opinion. But if you’re just wanting to listen to a podcast, it’s perfect for that. Morning radio while you’re reading plansets and sipping coffee on the jobsite? It’s the perfect thing to clip on your harness or, string to your toolbelt. There is a bit of desync with respect to Tx latency. Watching video content will be jarring. It’s such a basic thing at this point, I’d really expect better from a recognized brand like JVC even it’s their Gummy line of products. The chip can cost more than a few cents more per unit.Which goes into the next issue with this speaker, the voice that yells at you when it turns on, or it pairs, or you get a phone call. Just make it simple audio chimes please, and would it really hurt to allow this thing to play audio over usb too? With that the better use-case for this is to replace the cursed speakers most laptops and chromebooks are paired with these days. If I could plug my phone into this directly due to negate the need for Bluetooth I’d be pleased as punch. After wrapping up the software side of this review, I really must say other than the aforementioned slight issues the overall tough build quality, decent pairing/reception distance, somewhat admirable mid-volume performance, long lasting battery life. They’re worth the buy.

Simple and easy to use. I use it in an office environment and it is perfect

Yeah it’s cheap, so you shouldn’t expect much out of it, but for just a little more you can have a better Bluetooth speaker. This this isn’t very loud at all, very similar to how loud my phone’s speaker is, no bass, no AUX, and it’s pretty flat over all. Not impressed. The size is nice, and is does charge with USB-C.
