A great speaker, with some oomph to it. It’s definitely heavy, but it feels solid and well-made, and it translates into serious volume and good battery life.Sound is clear, with good range, at all volume levels. The bass isn’t lacking (and can be pumped up with the SP mode), and the high-end is clear; it’s versatile between your standard hip-hop, Norwegian black metal, or lighter classical pieces.Controls are easy and clear, and responsive, so you know you’re changing things. Connecting over bluetooth to other devices was seamless and quick – no issues at all. As with most good devices, battery life is then noted on your phone connection. Range is excellent. The lanyard’s a nice touch, so you can hang it from a tree or your boat. Not sure about the waterproof nature – we’ll never trust it, but it’s been in the shower, and in the rain, and is still blasting away!No complaints at all – this is a very fine speaker.

First off, I have not testes the waterproof claim of this speaker! (Who would do that?) However, the quality and volume of this speaker prevents the need because I can fill my entire house with the music this speaker plays without a problem. The 360 degree design is great because we are able to use it in the car (my radio fried on me) and we have no problem hearing the music, podcast or audiobook over the road noise.Easy to set up! Turn it on, hold the button, it pairs right up. The volume knob on the top is genius and the LED colors let you know if you are still in pairing mode or actual paired mode. The bottom end is surprisingly robust and does a great job for hard rock songs but not overpowering your mids and high end sounds and making it garbled. Its a clear, crisp sound and worth the purchase.

I wanted to use this on my PS4 system. It worked but not that well. I believe the fault is with the PS4, not this Tronsmart T7 speaker. I have a Bluetooth transmitter/receiver on the PS4 controller that uses the headset audio of the system. It is somehow limited. So, I gave this a try on the Echo Dot that I normally play music on. And it works very well. Fortunately, the Echo Dot turns off it’s own speaker and directs music to this paired Bluetooth speaker. Setup was easy. I just asked Alexa how to perform the pairing. The music is much louder and much clearer on the Tronsmart. But to be fair, I should mention that the audio on the Echo Dot is not so good. After playing the PS4 with the Tronsmart connected, the speaker lost it’s charge. I played for about two hours and then let the speaker sit for about two weeks. It needed charged again. I suspect that it might lose charge even when off. The App did say it had a charge though. Maybe it is user error (me). I will leave it ‘plugged in’ to a charger for continued use with my Echo Dot. It seems to work this way fortunately. What is neat about this is that I can simply unplug it from the USB and take it to different room and use the battery power. The instructions are somewhat minimal. The Tronsmart App has a better user manual built in, along with an update firmware feature. The App let me customize the treble, bass and midrange. After comparing EQ presets, I ended up using the Default setting. I struggled getting the App to connect to the Tronsmart AFTER I paired with the Echo Dot. I did find the solution in the instructions – hold down the Play button for 8 seconds to reset the speaker. And that worked. The volume knob is very cool and fun to use. It covers almost the entire top of the speaker. More on volume in a minute… The LED lights are fun and luckily there is even the option to turn them off. I will only use them if I take the speaker to a different room to remind me to take it back when I am done. They are easily turned on or off.Volume. Without doing a studio comparison with my decibel App, I feel that the stated 30-Watt power might be exaggerated. I have several Bluetooth speakers and this Tronsmart is about as loud as my 10-Watt speaker. Someone is wrong here. I think 30 Watts has the ability to fill a couple of rooms well. Although the wattage is possibly overstated, the volume is loud enough and definitely clearer than the Echo Dot. But I don’t think my Dots were designed for high fidelity volume and clarity. So, the addition of this Tronsmart is creating a more complete experience.Neat little Bluetooth speaker. Maybe a little expensive – approaching the soundbar starting price. It seems sturdy and well designed. It is clever the way the internal speakers are arranged for more room filling sound. I do think it is a great companion for the older Echo Dots.

This is a nice bluetooth speaker. I charged it fully, then it paired with my phone very easily. For such a small speaker, it sounds great and I really like that the large rotary dial on top of the speaker is the volume control. Rather than having to pick up the speaker and locate the volume buttons, you can leave the speaker where it is and just turn the top, much like the original Echo devices. Sound is nice and full, even at volume, and the bass boost feature – whatever it’s called – works quite well. Both inside and outside, this little speaker is a big performer.

The audio quality quit out after a month of use now sounds muffled and trashy
