Vanzon Sounds

12 reviews for Vanzon Bluetooth Speakers V40 Portable Wireless Speaker V5.0 with 24W Loud Stereo Sound, TWS, 24H Playtime & IPX7 Waterproof,

I recently snagged the Vanzon V40 Bluetooth speaker, and it’s been a hit. It’s compact enough to easily attach to my bag, and the sound is surprisingly powerful for its size. The battery lasts all day, perfect for outdoor adventures or just hanging out at home. It’s also waterproof, which came in handy during a pool day. The setup is a breeze with its Bluetooth connectivity, and the option to use an AUX cable or TF card is a nice touch. Overall, a great, durable little speaker that delivers more than you’d expect.

I purchased this speaker because it touts multiple features that I really like and was at a price point that is significantly lower than the “big brands.” This is a capable speaker that is relatively easy to pair to your Bluetooth device (phone, tablet, etc). It’s not too heavy, is quite water resistant and the battery lasts long enough to enjoy a party or family outing on the deck. At just under $40, the sound quality (overall) is difficult to beat. The bass is pretty deep and rich, the higher frequency sounds are very clear and not hindered by the closed-mesh grill that aids in making it waterproof. I like that it’s USB-C charging enabled and the SD-card slot is great for when you are out of “cell range” and just want to play music.Unfortunately, there are some drawbacks that could be addressed in the next revision.1 – The volume is directly tied to your Bluetooth device. There seems to be almost NO amplification offered. I am very hard of hearing and even at max volume (or when I’m in the pool and this is on the deck), from greater than 8 feet away, the speaker leaves MUCH to be desired in volume. When I’m enjoying an evening on the deck or in the pool, I want my music to enhance the activities.2 – The buttons on the top are for “play, power, mode, and volume adjustment”. For a remote speaker that is designed to keep one from having to handle (even in wet conditions) their mobile device, I would expect to have buttons to switch to the next song or even go back one selection (or more). If that feature is there, then I haven’t discovered it.3 – The protective “door” on the charging port/PC port/SD card slot leaves much to be desired. It’s rubberized to help with the waterproofing, but the actual size/diameter of the rubber extension from the cover to the speaker is so small, I imagine that after a few uses in the hot summer sun, it will become brittle and break. Full disclosure, I haven’t experienced that with this speaker (it’s still new), but I have with others. We boat a lot in the summer, so this could become a problem in the near future.Overall, I am happy with my purchase and hope to enjoy it for a long time to come. My biggest complaint of all the items above is the volume. The speaker is simply TOO QUIET! In your bedroom, office or library it will be “ok”. Unfortunately, if you go outside (on a boat, pool deck, back porch) or anywhere with a high ceiling, you won’t be “Waking up the neighbors”. The MFG says the battery life is up to 24hrs, based on how high you have the volume, with 6 hours of playtime at max volume. I have been fortunate to exceed that and would, therefore be willing to give up a couple hours (or connect it to a power pack) if it meant I could take it on the boat and be able to hear it blasting out those summer sounds.

I was considering purchasing a different speaker but the cost of this one was considerably less. Very pleased with the sound and the ease of connection.

I am really amazed at the loudness AND how good the sound is. Music is clear and there is good bass. Battery lasts a long time as stated. Easy to charge. Easy to use. I use it on my motorcycle and I can hear it quite well. It is loud enough to hear well, but not enough to annoy everyone around you. I use elastic straps to hold it on my handlebars and they do not block the operation buttons. It lights up on the sides. Very nce!

Size perfect. Sound great.. Easy to use. For charging, have light to show when it’s charging could be bigger or brighter, but ok. Buttons are big easy to use. Performance wonderful. Would buy again. Great value for your money..

I recently received this speaker so i could play music around the house, at parties and even bring with us if we go on vacation. Ive had several different types of speakers over the years but this one stacks up! You would think this is a higher end brand name, but pumps the music just as loud and has the same quality overall. If you are looking for a loud and long lasting speaker but dont want to spend hundreds of dollars, this one is great!

I’d like to compare the Vanzon Climber-Z speaker to the UE Boom 2 LE, which have almost identical form factors, but quite different (retail) prices. Both are somewhat heavy in the hand and crank out the decibels.Despite its lower price of $59.99, the Vanzon has a fuller sound, i.e., it sounds somewhat better, than the UE Boom 2 LE, and is louder, even at the lower volumes, than the UE Boom 2 LE, AND has a more distinct bass, so I would recommend it if you want or need a louder speaker, such as for larger spaces, or use it outside, where it’s probably great poolside. It is genuinely loud and I only had it up to the 5th or 6th volume setting. OTHERWISE I would recommend the UE Boom 2 LE, since it has much more precise volume control at the lower volumes, which is useful if you tend to prefer your music to stay in the background, or don’t want to bother other people but is still loud enough to be satisfying. In particular, with the Vanzon speaker, between volume setting 2 and 3 the loudness practically doubles, which I found bothersome. There need to be more increments of loudness in this area. Where there are 6 increments of volume at the quiet end with the UE Boom 2 LE, there are only 2 with the Vanzon, so you can’t “fine tune” the volume with the Vanzon in this loudness region, and for me this was a DEAL BREAKER.Of note is the volume control, which is a dial that rotates at the top of the speaker, which is very convenient.Note the UE Boom 2 LE is $69.99 at this writing, at Best Buy, marked down from $179.99, while the Vanzon is $59.99, which is its regular price, on Amazon. I had an additional 20% discount at Amazon for the Vanzon. These are extremely good prices for these speakers, both of which deliver extremely good sound. I wouldn’t have paid $179.99 for the UE Boom 2 LE, but considering the added value provided by the app that accompanies it, and the high prices of, for example, the popular Bose speakers, it might just be worth it.The Vanzon supposedly has EQ settings, but not really. Clicking the On/Off button during play will subdue the highs, but the bass remains the same: strong. The Vanzon vibrates in your hand as you hold it during play. The UE Boom 2 LE, on the other hand, has an app with actual EQ settings, with 5 presets and 1 custom, and which does seem to provide some control of the music (or podcast). The app is easy enough to use and gives some remote controls, such as for volume, but isn’t necessary to use the speaker. In general, the UE Boom 2 LE is definitely easier to use, even with the app. More thought goes into using the Vanzon, such as pressing the on/off button for 3 seconds to turn on/off, while clicking during play to subdue the highs. The UE Boom 2 LE has an app, but that isn’t necessary to use.The Vanzon does NOT have an app.The sound that plays when the UE Boom 2 LE is turned on can be turned off with a setting in the app, which is fortunate because these sound effects are often obnoxious and loud and the main reason I sometimes return bluetooth speakers. The Vanzon also has an on/off sound effect, which isn’t too obnoxious, however it can’t be turned off but this shouldn’t be a deal breaker. I wish they could do away with these strange sound effects entirely. Or maybe a simple, but very quiet, musical note, rather than the obnoxious noises that seem to be the norm for bluetooth speakers.

If using with a dongle …W/Windows 10 when the speaker is paired with the dongle; When power is turned on the speaker and it connects, the volume goes mute on Windows. Not a big problem but I was looking on why it connected but I was not getting any sound.

Great waterproof Bluetooth speakerThis bluetooth speaker is compact and has good sound quality. It is also waterproof. I am going to use it to go to the beach in the summer and not have to worry about sand/water. It also has an SD card slot and takes up to 64 GB cards. It says that you can connect two of these to make a better stereo experience. I might have to get another one and try that out. Battery life is good. I have had it playing for 8 hours a day for the past few days and it hasn’t had to be charged yet. The only downside is the LED flashing lighting mode isn’t maintained after you power it off. You have to change the LED setting each time you power it on. Not a major issue though.
